Please remember that your “VT PID” is quite different from the “VT ID”. Your VT ID is a 9 (Nine) Digit Numeric Number that starts with “90”. You will receive an E-mail during your admission process at Virginia Tech including your VT ID. And this VT ID number will be printed on your Virginia Tech ID card. 

How to access your Guest Account using Hokie SPA Portal?

Your Guest Account feature is available on the VT – Hokie SPA portal. It empowers a selected student/individual to release precise types of information, such as academic grades, financial aid information, account summary, etc.

An individual will have specific permission for access they were granted throughout a student’s academic career unless the student removes the access.

For Students

To grant Hokie SPA – Guest Account access for Virginia Tech students, follow the below steps:

• Primarily, LOG IN to your Hokie SPA account hokiespa.vt.edu with your student VT – PID and Password.
• Then select the option “Guest Account Access”.
• Enter the “E-mail Address” of the individual you wish to grant access.
• Now select the type of info you wish to release i.e. “Grant Access”.

For Guests

After a Virginia Tech student has invited you to “Create a Guest Account”, you will receive 2 (two) E-mails accordingly.

The 1^st E-mail will inform you that you have been invited to Create a Guest Account at the Hokie SPA portal and will contain a “Link” to create your guest account. Please note that the LINK in the E-mail to create the guest access will only be valid for 48 hours only.

And the 2^nd E-mail will include the “Name” of the student and the other info released to you. After your LOG-IN credentials are created you will be easily able to Sign In to Guest Access and view the areas where access is available to you for.

Please Note: In case you are a Virginia Tech Staff / Employee or already have access to Virginia Tech Systems, then you will receive a single “E-mail”. Please utilize your VT credentials for accessing guest access.

How to Reset the Hokie SPA Portal Account Password?
